Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I start with CBD and dosage?
Daily Softgel: Start with one softgel at bedtime. Or, if using in tandem with our Daily Drops, start with drops in the evening and take a softgel in the morning. For either routine, repeat for 5 days, then make an appointment for a dosage consultation.
Daily Drops: Start with one full dropper (10mg) every evening. Hold under tongue for 60 seconds, then swallow. Wait 15 minutes. If you don’t feel any effect, take another full 10mg dropper. Repeat routine for 5 days, then schedule an appointment for a dosage consultation.
Relief Cream: This transdermal cream can sink below the skin into tissue and beyond. In addition to muscle/nerve pain, this product is commonly used by EQ members on the abdominal area for uterine/ovarian pain. Use as needed!
Is this stuff even legal?
The Federal Farm Bill (the Agricultural Act of 2014) legalized the production and sale of hemp bred with 0.3% percent or less THC.
The industrial hemp plants we use in our products meets this requirement, and our full-spectrum, whole-flower hemp CBD products are completely federally legal.
HOWEVER: Marijuana-derived CBD products (those with over 0.3% THC) are illegal except in states where medical and/or recreational cannabis are legal.
Is CBD going to make me high?
Not even if you drink a whole bottle of our oil! Our industrial hemp is bred to contain less than 0.3% THC. It won’t get you high or make you feel stoned, and it’s federally 100% legal.
Most women simply feel relaxed, not sleepy, with our products. But we recommend using your ingested products (Daily Softgels or Daily Drops) in the evening, just in case you find yourself ready to head to bed earlier than usual.
The effect is somehow subtle and substantial, like that warm feeling after a few sips of your favorite wine.
Are your products vegan?
Our softgels are not vegan, but our oil drops and relief cream surely are!
Will Equilibria get me flagged on a drug test?
That’s a tough one.
Every woman’s body chemistry is different, so we don’t know how your body will metabolize our products. However, neither of our founders test positive for THC when using Equilibria products.
Worried? Grab an over-the-counter THC test at your local pharmacy to find out for sure.
Is CBD the only ingredient in Equilibria products?
CBD is one of many chemical compounds found in industrial hemp plants. These compounds, called cannabinoids, work together to amplify each other’s medical benefits for the most desirable outcomes.
Any other physical ingredients used in our products are simple, clean, and there for a reason — in our Daily Drops, for instance, the only other ingredient is pharmaceutical-grade MCT oil.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with your biological processes to produce a desired effect.
CBD helps decrease inflammation and improve mood, for example, but it’s just one of many other cannabinoids. Other examples are CBN, CBG, CBC, and even THC.
The combination of cannabinoids in a carefully bred strain of industrial hemp — including the one we use in our full-spectrum, whole-flower Equilibria products — work together in a chemical reaction called “the entourage effect.”
Our bodies actually produce their own cannabinoids — human breast milk even contains them.
Where do you get the hemp for Equilibria’s products?
Quality and consistency are everything! The hemp in our CBD products is sourced from our 1,100-acre Colorado partner farm.
The farm hand harvests all its hemp flowers to create our full-spectrum hemp flower oil — no seeds, leaves, or stalks, and DEFINITELY no isolate.
What’s the difference between full-spectrum and isolate?
Full-spectrum CBD oil contains more than just CBD. It includes many other cannabinoids and terpenes that combine to create an “entourage effect” of compounded benefits (aka activating the CBD for best efficacy.)
Isolate is just what it sounds like: pure CBD, stripped of all the other chemical compounds. The removal of these other compounds means no entourage effect.
